Getting There

By Road

• From Paris: take the motorway A10 in the direction of Chartres, then the motorway A11 in the direction of Nantes.
• From Bordeaux: take the motorway A10 in the direction of Paris, then from Niort take the motorway A83 in the direction of Nantes.

By Train

Nantes is very well served by the TGVs (Trains à Grande Vitesse, high-speed trains) especially from Paris, and also from Lyons, and lately from Marseilles.

By Plane

The international airport Nantes-Atlantique receives flights from most of European capitals.

Getting Around

Nantes offers an extensive bus system as well as a metro and tram system on your arrival.  However, all of the major sights, restaurants, and hotels are within walking distance from the center of town.  Look for the public transportation maps and schedules in the tourist office.
